My name is Ellie, i am in year 9 studying GCSE Photography .
I chose photography because it interested me in many ways such as , learning how to use different types of camera, how people take good photos at the right angle. I am looking forward to go in the dark room to learn how todo photograms, and how the objects you use are able to turn into something you would not imagine.
I like doing photography to learn the different aspects of photography to find out things i have never learnt or known before. I would like to learn to use all the different cameras there are so i could be able to take good photos and learn how the technique is used for taking a good photograph. I love photography as i can show of what i have got.

This is made out of film strip which you can make into anything if your creative and imaginative
1)How should a good photograph express the photographer's intention? How should the photograph express what the photographer wishes to say , his /her meaning?
Some photos have a meaning and maybe some of the meaning relates to the photographer, as when they take a picture people might not know what the meaning is, but the photographer knows as the picture might of inspired them to take one that relates to them .... such as if something has happened in their life and that picture relates to what happened so only the photographer know, and maybe the picture might mean something to other people which the photographer might want to share. 2)How can a good photographer communicate something that words cannot? The photographer can communicate by taking a picture that words can not describe which could lead to an answer. If the picture is so detailed people might tell what the story or the event in which is happening in the image/photograph. 3)How can a good photograph engage or capture the viewers attention? A good photograph will catch or engage a viewers attention by if they like the photograph they would want to be more interested by it and maybe if they haven't seen a picture , and its unusual then they would want to learn more about it and they would like it more. So it would inspire and would catch their eye. 4)Can a good photograph make a person feel sympathy or sadness or happiness? It depends what the image relates to, and what the image is. such as if the photograph was a good photograph but it would have a different meaning as it could have something bad in the picture but the picture might be good as in which the picture has such as , colour , angle , the amount in the picture . 5)Do you think that a good photograph is best shown alone, or do you think that photographs should be shown as a collection with many other? Sometimes a good photograph is best to be shown alone as it might be better than the others but if they all look good then it should be shown together. But you should put is as a collection, as if it was the same event then put it as a collection, if totally different then would be better separate. 6)Do you think that a good photograph can demand a response from the viewer, for example do you think that it should make the viewer say or think something/look at the photo overleaf for example, does this photo make you want to ask questions? I think that a good photograph should want a viewer to have a response as the photograph sometimes makes you think , ask questions that relate to it , or what the meaning are , but there are many things in a photograph that you can ask questions about. Or if you think about and look at the photograph it might relate to you, which would make you have a response. If you take a picture you need to think about what response are you gonna get if you show of your work and make it as good as you can so you get as much responses you can.Why is she so ghostly? Why is she sleeping? 7)Should a good photograph be well composed and have good lighting? Give a visual example with your answer? A photograph should have good lighting as it could show more in the picture and it could make the whole picture a good image, but if you use a little bit of lighting then it will maybe have a meaning to it as it could be a negative though towards it. |
